Do you want a Jane Volturi Costume? So if you’re thinking of wearing a Volturi vampire costume for Halloween, you couldn’t do any better, if you’re female, than by wearing a Jane costume.  As discussed in the Twilight novels, Jane and her twin brother Alec are two of the most prized members of the Volturi despite their young ages.

Jane and Alec, who both have very powerful psychic powers, even as humans, were turned into vampires by Aro at the very young age of maybe 12 to 13. So if you want to wear a Jane costume for Halloween you need to keep her age in mind.

Since she was turned into a vampire at such a young age she is fairly short – probably under 5 feet tall – with pale skin and short brown hair, and a figure without too many curves. Remember, she is a preteen after all. She also has red eyes as many other members of the Volturi have, which become even redder when she is thirsty.

In fact, Jane, despite her young appearance, is probably the most valued member of the Volturi guard because of her incredible powers. Jane has a very dark personality and she loves to torture others using her gift of inflicting pain upon others every time she gets a chance. And her dress reflects her inner personality by the fact that she often wears very dark clothing covering most of her body.

So if you wanted to dress up in a Jane costume for Halloween you would need to wear a black dress, black  Mary Jane shoes with dark stockings or tights, and a black cape to if you had the chance. Nothing too sexy, in fact you want your outfit to look very childlike in appearance. A good idea for how to dress as Jane might be to imagine how you would dress a young girl to attend a funeral – dark and plain.

In the Twilight films Jane wears very little jewelry except for a Volturi necklace that can be seen from time to time. Also, when the movie actress Dakota Fanning portrays Jane she always pulls her hair back into a bun as a very stark reminder that Jane is a young girl with a very dark and mean streak in her personality. So you do have some leeway in exactly how you decide to dress in a Jane costume of your very own.

So if you can get some other friends to dress up as Alec, Aro or any other members of the Volturi then you can have a wonderful group costume that everyone will enjoy interacting with.

Who knows? While you’re out you might even run into Bella or Edward or even Jacob and his werewolf buddies while you’re out on the town.
